Janet Dahl
Janet Dahl comes to us all the way from Royal Oak, Michigan. In Royal Oak she grew up with five siblings in a rather quaint and very Catholic household. She attended college at Central Michigan University, which was surrounded by cornfields and within napalm distance of Dow Chemical. It was as Catholic as a public university can be.
Here she received her teaching certificate and later became an English/Drama teacher at a high school near her home town. Janet dated as a hobby until she was almost a spinster. She met Steve through friends, and was dating a mutual friend. Steve’s friend left town and asked Steve to watch over her. The aroma of a gallon of Hai Karate persuaded Janet that she needed Steve in her life permanently, if only to cure him of cologne excess.
Steve’s boyish charm persuaded her to leave her law school, abandon her job, sell her condo and move to Bolingbrook, Illinois while he attempted to convert Chicago to his radio verite style on WDAI. Four months later Steve was fired, but Janet and Steve have been Chicagoans ever since.
Eventually, she returned to law school, got pregnant, passed the bar, got pregnant, got pregnant and settled into the idyllic suburban life that only a Stever could provide. Her license to practice is current, and to date, none of the boys (now 21, 19, and 17) have needed her professional services. The same can be said of her husband, though it is a bit more astounding.
Currently, she is rehabilitating their home after 15 years of youthful abuse. She is attempting to train a puppy, and has given up the possibility of domestic excellence.
