The Puck Stops Here

I just made myself a bowl of instant oatmeal before sitting down to type this blog at 9:15 CST. I still marvel at the fact that it only takes a minute to make a delicious bowl of oatmeal now that we live in the space age. I like oatmeal (steel cut) best when I get it from hotel room service, but this will have to do for today. I never did look at any of the comments under my article in yesterday’s online edition of the Tribune. But. I was told that there were some real doozies. I was also told that there were a lot of nice ones too, so thank you for that. There are a couple of people who just cant stand the fact that I continue to survive and move ahead, no mater what is thrown in my path. They might want to get out there and try and make something of themselves and stop worrying so much about me. I am like a cockroach, or Gloria Gaynor: I will survive.
Thursday’s podcast (DahlCast) is don’t miss downloading. Not only will Jim Kid and I recap our evening together at Wednesday’s Blackhawks game, but I will also reveal my favorite ice girl. I was also visited by a member if the US Army at my seat, and he gave me some good advice, so I’ll pass that along as well. We’ll speak to Jeff Joniak about the Bears game in San Francisco tonight. “Little Z’, one of the radio engineering Zarang brothers sent us a picture of Jeff joining the “clean plate club”, so maybe we’ll post that on dahl.com when it’s back up and running. We will also be talking with Amanda Puck about some hip and happening things to do over the weekend. Actually, I think that we will be talking to her about her weekend plans, but she is always hip and happening.
I don’t have any specific plans for watching the Bears game tonight. Janet will be out of town, so I was thinking about having a few prostitutes over. This just in: Mike Dahl and his fiancée, Kathryn, will be stopping by. I’ll just get a pizza instead. That’s probably better in the long run for my marriage. LOL. I’m not sure how I feel about this Bears game, but they have really been a disappointment to me so far this season. Thank God I have the Blackhawks and women’s NCAA basketball to keep my mind off of the Bears. I don’t really watch NCAA women’s basketball, but that’s not a slam on the women. I don’t even like to watch men playing basketball. When that Bulls game came down to the last .3 seconds on Tuesday, I was thinking, “Hey! That’s my favorite part of the game: The last .3 seconds.
