I am killing time before the Blackhawks game watching ‘American Idol’. I was right about them moving Ellen away from Simon because she’s a lesbian. Simon and Kara almost had sex on the table at the top of the show. I was particularly irritated by the fact that Ryan Seacrest is now famous for saying “This… is American Idol”. I like Ryan just fine, but seriously, how stupid are we that four unfunny words become a bit. It’s like “Let’s get ready to rumble’. At least LGRTR is five words. Now Ryan Seacrest is getting into it with Simon and I’m feeling some sexual tension there too. I could just be imagining things. I am not liking AI with Ellen. I miss Paula Abdul. She was a space cadet, but she sure knew how to have a good time.

Even though I have been bitching bout the Blackhawks goalie situation I guess I can see why they didn’t want to make any trades at this point. They have a really good record with the goalies that they have. Granted, the rest of the team helps out a lot on defense. It seems like this would be a bad time to start changing things any more than they already have. They did sign a defenseman this week, Nick Boynton, who is apparently a physical presence. They have sent him up to Rockford to get into a few fights and I would imagine to ultimately take a little pressure off of Keith and Seabrook. They might be a little weary from their Olympics journey. All of the Olympian looked a little off on Tuesday night, so let’s hope they are a little more dialed in tonight. The post Olympics pregame ceremony and the Anthem were off the hook
